Provocation Polio

To

tho-

se of

you

who w-

ould like

to become a

vaccine resear-

cher, you can start

with a quote from Ro-

bert F Kennedy Jr, present

a graph of peanuts and tree nuts,

watch this video, book a hotel in Sp-

ain, write the word ‘vaccine’ and mimic

the scientists. / Anyone can list over 100 sci-

ence studies and estimations based on inconsistent

data. Below are some instances of misbehaviour, also kn-

own as ‘provocation polio’ – a desperate attempt to explain disas-

trous occurrences, an impassioned crusade to prevent vaccine success. /

We can’t know what caused all the iron lungs, death in healthy children, fr-

iends and family. In addition, precious nurses always over-report mumps, rubella,

hepatitis B, pertussis and the whole panoply of childhood disease. / It has been known

for quite a while that viruses are not living entities themselves. They are more like benign

tiny lemon machines. Thus, the vast herd of infants today have absolutely no risk, no beh-

aviours which would leave them infected (like tattooing, sharing drug injecting equipment,

and piercing), but are paradoxically most at risk of death from the mother. / Anyway, mea-

sles is generally a mild illness, no long-term sequelae other than pneumonia, also enceph-

alitis and acute cerebella ataxia – but no frightening images, just a few small scars, per-

haps die from it, such seems to be the case. / Previously, scientists noted how they

followed specific guidelines to eradicate viruses. But that would be stupid! Th-

ere are natural alternatives for the treatment of all infectious diseases: ma-

ssage therapy for paralytic patients, heat for the infant stomach, and

gentle reassurance for vulnerable babies (we forgot about co-

verage of adults. Oops.) / Due to dwindling capacity for

serious study, for those of you who would like to

become a Public Health Official, you can

either make your donation by PayPal

or Direct Funds Transfer to join

the club! Or $35,000 sent to

the lab in a diluted wa-

ter bag cocooning

small spheres

of science to

shorten the

delivery

time.

Over Keen and Under Ripe

You brandish one

of your ChapSticks -

the nightstand Chap

or the dusty re-found Chap,

things I share without asking

I snatch it and scribble

on my lips while laughing,

top lip overhang to

clenched jaw in a

hula-hooped flex of balm

Passionfruit aftertaste

documents a morning.

I ate your half

of the yellow bulb

sliced cleanly in two, gel

tart as vinegar,

plucked too soon –

I struggle with windfall

Much prefer the pucker-tang

of pre-emption

savoured like sugar as

I bite a rendered lip,

feel yellow string

lassoing a front tooth

while puddles of seeds

spiral down

If I’m being honest,

I worry little

about community gardeners,

aware they may sight

the unweighted vine,

the knowing sap,

the woman with reflux and

a polished, toothless smirk

Meanwhile I lazily

tongue the thread before

throttling it with nails,

returning the bolus

to its spool by swallow,

know it’s under ripe,

but I’m over keen,

resigned to the choice

of indigestion over hunger
