May Editorial

May Editorial

Hey there,

May on Baby Teeth brings you free verse poetry and visual art of the collage variety. If you skipped over the announcement earlier we have had to drop down to three (3) Features per month due to funding constraints. But the three creators we’re sharing are brilliant so hopefully you don’t feel the gap so keenly.

Submissions are Back Open

We love seeing all the good, good art and writing you send through each round. Please keep it coming! We’d especially love to see more visual art and mixed media works so if you make that kind of thing this is a sign.

This months’ b-e-a-utiful call out poster is by Ava Marinos find more from her on Instagram!

Subs are Also Open for Legacies!

Our EIC is working with The South Coast Writers Centre on their 2021 members anthology ‘Legacies’!

It’s an anthology of poetry and prose by SCWC members, all the info is over on their website but we thought a few of you would be interested in submitting. Yes you do need to be a SCWC member to send in work but that’s only max $49 a year and you get a bunch of great opportunities WHILE directly supporting local lit!

Patreon Update

As mentioned above we’ve had to cut down to three Features per month. This is because we switched our Patreon currency over to Australian Dollars. In the long run this switch will make everything easier across the board but it also meant that our monthly revenue decreased pretty dramatically. We will bring it back up to five Features a month once we know our funding can sustainably pay that many artists.

Thank you to all of the kind and generous souls who can and do support us on Patreon, you’re the reason we can pay our artists and commission artist like Ava to make amazing posters, and the reason we can pay webhosting and business insurance and everything you need to keep a journal on the wifi.

If you have the means and the interest, become a Patron!
