July Editorial

July Editorial

Hello!

Let us join the chorus of voices remarking ‘where has the year gone?’ as we enter the month of July.

There’s some great creative writing heading your way this month. Prose, short stories, poetry too. It’s all good and themes include; aren’t potatoes amazing, would you magically change your life if given the opportunity, and the slow crumbling of rural towns.

Send Us Something

Journal submissions are open through to July 24th, make sure your submission Follows The Guidelines.

Patreon Patrons can submit as much as they like FOR FREE! Join up to find out how that works.

Artist Table EOIs Closing Soon

You have until July 17th to express your interest in tabling at Strange Folds Zine Fair.

It’s looking like we are going to fill every available table which is very exciting! Thanks to everyone who has applied so far, we will be getting back to you all after the deadline.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the funding we applied for. This means our plans to make Strange Folds into more of a ‘Zine Festival’ can’t go ahead. But don’t lose hype, the fair is still happening. We’re a thrifty bunch and running and event on a limited budget is nothing new!

Patreon Keeps the Good Times Rolling

Thank you as always to our stellar Patrons over on Patreon. With grant and funding opportunities being extremely nebulous, having financial support from people who care about what we do is so, so amazing! Especially in this economy.
