Thanks to generous grants from Local Council and Culture Bank Wollongong, Baby Teeth is creating our first print publication!
Never Heard of Them is an anthology specifically for emerging and previously unpublished writers local to the Illawarra and South Coast New South Wales.
But hold on, it’s more than just a publication. Those selected for publication will have the chance to edit and polish their pieces in workshops run by the Baby Teeth EIC and established local writers! We want to help local writers find and create community, while showcasing their writing in the larger community.
You’ll also get the chance to perform your work at the official anthology launch AND at the Viva La Gong Festival in November 2019.
Submission is fee free, please read the guidelines carefully.
This anthology is purely creative writing, and is not open to visual art or mixed media works.
There is no set theme, your submissions can be about anything! The writing you submit does not need to be in it’s final draft but we do ask that you submit a piece with a start middle and end.
Works containing bigoted messages, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, general shit-headedness ect. WILL NOT be considered.
